1. Introduction and Acceptance
In brief: By using Vera, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Service.
Welcome to Vera (hereinafter: "the Service", "the Application", or "Vera"). The Service is operated and managed by Shalhevet Software Solutions (hereinafter: "the Company", "we", "us").
These Terms of Service (hereinafter: "the Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you (hereinafter: "the User" or "you") and the Company. By accessing the Application, the website, or any other Vera service, you agree to these Terms in their entirety.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using the Service.
Use of the Service is permitted only for users aged 18 and above. Minors aged 14–17 may use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
These Terms constitute a "standard form contract" as defined under the Standard Contracts Law (חוק החוזים האחידים, התשמ"ג-1982). Clauses that may be deemed unfair shall be construed in favor of the User.
These Terms were drafted in Hebrew. In case of any discrepancy between the Hebrew version and this translation, the Hebrew version shall prevail.
2. Definitions
- "Application" — The Vera mobile application available for download on app stores (App Store, Google Play).
- "Website" — The Vera website at www.vera.online.
- "Sticker" or "QR Sticker" — A physical sticker bearing a unique QR code, purchased through the Website and linked to the User's medical profile.
- "Medical Profile" — The entirety of medical information entered by the User in the Application, including medications, allergies, pre-existing conditions, blood type, and emergency contacts.
- "Scan" — The action whereby a third party scans the QR code on the Sticker and gains access to the medical information selected for sharing.
- "Personal Information" — Any information that identifies or enables the identification of an individual, as defined under the Protection of Privacy Law (חוק הגנת הפרטיות, התשמ"א-1981).
- "Sensitive Information" — Medical or health-related information, or any information classified as Information of Special Sensitivity (ISS) under Amendment 13 to the Protection of Privacy Law.
- "User Content" — Any information, text, or data entered by the User into the Service, including medical information.
3. Service Description
Vera provides a digital platform for managing personal medical information, including:
- Creating and managing a personal medical profile (medications, allergies, pre-existing conditions, emergency contacts)
- A comprehensive database of all registered medications in Israel
- Automated safety checks (drug interactions, allergies, age and gender compatibility)
- Smart medication reminders
- Rapid sharing of a medical profile via a temporary QR code (from within the Application)
- Physical QR stickers linked to the medical profile, enabling immediate access to information in emergency situations
The Application is available in 4 languages: Hebrew, English, Russian, and Arabic.
4. Important Medical Disclaimer
Vera is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional medical care.
- The information displayed in the Application and in QR scans is information entered solely by the User and has not been reviewed or verified by any qualified medical professional.
- Do not rely on Vera for making medical decisions, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always consult a physician or qualified medical professional for medical advice.
- In an emergency, call Magen David Adom (101) or emergency services (112). Do not rely on Vera as a substitute for emergency services.
- Vera does not replace a Medical Alert bracelet, official medical records, or any other recognized medical document.
- There is no guarantee that emergency responders will scan the QR code, act upon the information displayed, or that the information will be accessible under all conditions.
- The accuracy of information in the Application is the sole responsibility of the User. Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information may endanger life.
- Safety checks (drug interactions, etc.) are based on information databases and do not constitute medical advice or a substitute for professional evaluation.
- Use of Vera does not create a physician-patient relationship between the User and Vera or its employees.
5. User Account
Use of the Service requires creating a personal account. The User undertakes to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
- Maintain the confidentiality of account access credentials (password, authentication methods).
- Notify Vera immediately in the event of unauthorized use of the account.
- Refrain from creating an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent, or without legal authority (guardianship).
- Refrain from creating more than one account for the same individual.
The User bears responsibility for all activity conducted through their account. Vera reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
6. User Responsibility
The User undertakes to:
- Enter accurate and up-to-date medical information in the personal profile.
- Update the information upon any change (new medications, dosage changes, new allergies, changes in health status).
- Periodically review the medical profile to verify its accuracy.
- Include in the profile any information that may be critical in an emergency situation.
- Refrain from entering information of other individuals without their explicit consent or legal authority.
- Refrain from using the Service for unlawful, misleading, or harmful purposes.
7. Prohibited Uses
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Entering medical information that is intentionally false or misleading.
- Creating accounts for fictitious persons.
- Entering the medical information of another person without consent or legal authority.
- Attempting to access the accounts, profiles, or information of other users.
- Reverse engineering, disassembling, duplicating, or analyzing the source code of the Application.
- Distributing viruses, malware, or any harmful code through the Service.
- Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
- Reselling, redistributing, or commercially exploiting the Service or the Stickers.
- Using QR stickers for any purpose other than personal medical identification.
- Interfering with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Impersonating another individual or entity.
8. QR Sticker Terms of Use and Information Sharing
In brief: A QR sticker exposes medical information to anyone who scans it. You control which details are displayed and can disable the sticker at any time.
By purchasing and activating a QR sticker, the User acknowledges and understands that:
8.1 Access to Information
- Any person who scans the QR code will be able to view the medical information you have shared — without the need to download an application, identify themselves, or obtain your approval.
- The User controls which details appear in the QR scan through the Application settings.
- The User bears responsibility for the physical location of the sticker and for the risk that unauthorized parties may scan it.
8.2 Limitations
- Vera cannot control the identity of scanners or prevent unauthorized scans.
- Once information has been viewed by a scanner, Vera cannot retrieve or revoke the exposure.
- There is no guarantee that the QR code will function under all conditions (damaged or worn sticker, lack of internet connection on the scanner's device, poor lighting, older scanning device).
- Vera is not responsible for the actions or omissions of third parties who scan the QR code.
8.3 Deactivation and Security
- A sticker may be deactivated at any time through the Application. After deactivation, scanning the code will not display any information.
- In the event of loss or theft of a sticker, it must be deactivated immediately through the Application.
- Vera logs scans (timestamp, IP address, device type) and displays a scan history to the User.
9. Sticker Purchase — Sale Terms
9.1 Pricing and Payment
- All prices displayed on the Website include VAT as required by law.
- Payment is processed through Stripe, a secure payment processor compliant with PCI-DSS Level 1. Vera does not store full credit card details.
- Accepted payment methods: supported credit and debit cards.
- Vera reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
9.2 Shipping
- Stickers are shipped to the address provided at the time of the order.
- Shipping is included in the product price.
- Estimated delivery times will be displayed at the time of the order and are non-binding.
9.3 Cancellation and Returns
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (חוק הגנת הצרכן, התשמ"א-1981), Sections 14C–14H (remote sales transactions):
General cancellation:
- A transaction may be cancelled within 14 days of receiving the Stickers or of receiving the transaction details document — whichever is later.
- Cancellation fee: up to 5% of the transaction price or ₪100 (NIS) — whichever is lower.
- In the case of a defective product — a full refund without cancellation fees.
- Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice.
Extended cancellation — protected groups:
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, the following groups are entitled to an extended cancellation period:
- Senior citizens (over age 65), persons with disabilities, and new immigrants (within 5 years of immigration) are entitled to cancellation within 4 months of the transaction date or receipt of the transaction details document, provided that the engagement included a communication between the vendor and the consumer (including electronic communication).

10. Intellectual Property
- All rights in the Application, including source code, design, user interface, algorithms, trademarks, logos, content, and databases, belong to Shalhevet Software Solutions and are protected under Israeli and international intellectual property laws.
- By using the Service, Vera grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the Service for personal purposes only.
- The trademark "Vera" and all associated logos are the property of Shalhevet Software Solutions.
- You may not copy, duplicate, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Vera content without written authorization.
- Third-party trademarks (Apple, Google, Stripe) belong to their respective owners.
11. User Content (Medical Information)
11.1 Ownership
- The User remains the full owner of the personal and medical information entered into the Application.
- By using the Service, the User grants Vera a limited, non-exclusive license to process the information solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
11.2 Anonymous and Aggregate Data
- Vera may create anonymous, aggregate statistical data that does not allow the identification of individual users, for the purposes of research and service improvement.
- Anonymous data cannot be reverse-engineered to identify individuals.
11.3 User Representations
- The User represents that all information entered is truthful, accurate, and up-to-date.
- The User represents that they have the legal right to enter the information (including information on behalf of dependent family members).
- The User understands that inaccurate or outdated information may endanger their health and life.
12. Limitation of Liability
- Vera shall not be liable for medical outcomes arising from the use of information displayed in the Application or in a QR scan.
- Vera shall not be liable for the accuracy, completeness, or currency of information entered by the User.
- Vera shall not be liable for unauthorized scans of QR stickers by third parties.
- Vera shall not be liable for temporary service interruptions, technical failures, or data loss resulting from force majeure events.
- Vera shall not be liable for the failure of emergency responders or medical personnel to scan the QR code or act upon the information displayed.
- Vera shall not be liable for QR scan failures caused by physical damage to the sticker, lack of internet connectivity, or issues with the scanning device.
- Vera's total aggregate liability shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the User for Vera products in the 12 months preceding the event, or ₪100 (NIS) — whichever is greater.
- Vera shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages.
Nothing in the foregoing shall limit liability in cases where Israeli law does not permit such limitation, including damages arising from gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud on the part of Vera.
13. Disclaimer
- The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE".
- Vera makes no warranty of continuous, error-free, or uninterrupted operation of the Service.
- Vera makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of the medication database, although it endeavors to update it regularly from official sources.
- Vera makes no warranty that the QR code will function under all conditions.
- Vera makes no warranty as to the durability, adhesion, or shelf life of the physical stickers.
- The physical stickers are not resistant to water, extreme heat, scratches, or wear — the User is responsible for periodically inspecting the condition of the sticker and replacing it when necessary.
14. Indemnification
The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Vera, its employees, officers, and representatives against any claim, damage, expense, or loss (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Breach of these Terms of Service.
- Entry of inaccurate, misleading, or outdated information.
- Misuse of the Service.
- Infringement of third-party rights.
- Third-party claims arising from medical information entered or shared by the User.
The indemnification obligation shall not apply where the damage was caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Vera.
15. Force Majeure
Vera shall not be liable for non-performance or delay in the performance of its obligations resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- War, military operations, national security emergencies, or acts of terrorism
- Natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics
- Cyberattacks, internet failures, or telecommunications infrastructure failures
- Widespread power outages
- Government orders, legislation, or directives
- Strikes or labor disputes
- Failure of third-party service providers (Google Cloud, Stripe, shipping providers)
Vera shall notify Users of a force majeure event as soon as reasonably practicable and shall use reasonable efforts to mitigate its impact. If a force majeure event persists for more than 90 days, either party may terminate the agreement.
16. Service Availability and Changes
- Vera may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time.
- Material changes will be communicated in advance through reasonable means (in-app notification, email, or on the website), at least 30 days in advance.
- In the event of service discontinuation, Vera will allow Users to export their personal and medical data (in JSON/CSV format) for a period of 90 days prior to the shutdown of the Service.
17. Account Termination
17.1 Termination by the User
- The User may close their account at any time through the Application or by contacting customer service.
17.2 Termination by Vera
- Vera may terminate the account of a User who violates these Terms, after providing reasonable notice (except in cases of severe breach that threatens the security of the Service or other users).
17.3 Consequences of Account Termination
- All linked stickers will be deactivated — QR scans will no longer display any information.
- Medical information will be deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements (payment records — 7 years).
- Important warning: Physical stickers remaining on objects after account termination will display an error or blank screen when scanned. It is recommended to remove them.
17.4 Surviving Provisions
The following sections shall continue to apply after account termination: Limitation of Liability (12), Indemnification (14), Intellectual Property (10), Governing Law and Jurisdiction (21).
18. Privacy
Use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Service.
The Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal and medical information in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law (including Amendment 13) and the GDPR.
Please note: Consent to the processing of sensitive medical information (ISS) is requested separately and is not part of accepting these Terms of Service.
19. Accessibility
Vera is committed to making the Service accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568 (based on WCAG 2.1 AA) and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act (חוק שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות, התשנ"ח-1998).
- The Application and the Website support screen readers, keyboard navigation, and adjustable text sizes.
- The Application is available in 4 languages and supports RTL (Hebrew, Arabic) and LTR (English, Russian) layouts.

20. Third-Party Services
- The Service utilizes third-party services, including Firebase / Google Cloud (storage and infrastructure), Stripe (payments), and QR scanner applications.
- Vera is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.
- Use of third-party services is subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of those providers.
- Links to external websites within the Application or the Website do not constitute endorsement or approval by Vera.
21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
- Exclusive jurisdiction for any matter arising from these Terms is vested in the competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district.
- Prior to filing a claim, the parties shall make reasonable, good-faith efforts to resolve the dispute directly within 30 days of providing written notice.
- Nothing herein shall prevent either party from seeking interim relief or an urgent injunction from a court of competent jurisdiction.
22. Changes to These Terms
- Vera may update these Terms from time to time.
- Material changes will be communicated via the Application, the Website, or by email, at least 30 days in advance.
- Continued use of the Service after receiving the notice and upon the expiration of the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
- A User who does not agree to the changes may close their account and export their data before the changes take effect.
- In the event of a discrepancy between different language versions of this document, the Hebrew version shall prevail.
23. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement — This document, together with the Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the User and Vera with respect to the use of the Service.
- Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
- Waiver — Failure by Vera to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision in the future.
- Assignment — Vera may assign its rights and obligations under this agreement. The User may not assign their rights without Vera's prior written consent.
- Notices — Formal notices will be sent by email, through the Application, or by regular mail to the address on file in the User's account.
- Headings — Section headings are provided for convenience of reading only and do not form part of the legal interpretation.
- Language — These Terms were drafted in Hebrew. In the event that they are translated into additional languages and a discrepancy arises, the Hebrew version is the binding version.
- Relationship of the Parties — Nothing in these Terms shall create a relationship of partnership, agency, employment, or representation between the parties.
- Third Parties — Nothing in these Terms shall confer any right upon any third party, except as expressly stated herein.
